Is this thing on . . . ?
Well, yes it is - and finally. So, since I'm officially mistress of my domain and have started in 2006 - that means Monday I will already be 1 year old. - yes this mistress is a dorko
What has the year brought?
- 1 sweet baby boy - 5 mo. now
- yeah! more stretch marks
- a 2nd year of laughter, pride and fear evoked by a beautiful little girl.
- the 11th year of learning more about The Hubby - he's really pretty keen, I must say.
- Another year of closers, furthers, farthers (they are not the same thing), highers, lowers and all enveloped in a generous dose of better and better.
This is me, "Jane", 27, married, 2 children, 3 cats, 1 fish.
A bit more: 6 years of part-time college, 3 majors started, 3 majors 1/2 finished, all in the art field (fine, graphic, multi-media), currently on an extended "sabbatical".
A paginator: What's that? A Jane-of-all-trades at the local newspaper. Mainly page design, graphic design, photo editing/correction, a little writing, a little tech support, and a smattering of bossiness.
Hobbies: Reading - just cut the cable - yes, I do things the hard way because I have no will-power - then I buy insanely expensive silliness with the money I saved.
Working-out - we'll see how long that lasts (best intentions - BEST).
Drawing, painting, coloring, eating glue - when I find the time.
Playing with tiny people - we laugh, smile, do yoga, diaper phones, druel incessantly, read books and laugh.
Playing with a white and nerdy man - I'll just keep those lovely shenanigans to myself.
What I've been thankful for this year:
The best group of people anyone could wish to call family or friend. One fantastic job. One quick labor. Epidurals. Wellbutrin and not needing it anymore. Beautiful weather. A lovely garden. One surprisingly affordable tree. A 24-hr gym. Chocolate. 24 hr rain spells, 24 hr snow spells. Food-poisoning(at least the weight went away for a little while). Credit cards. Justin Timberlake - this is a brand new appreciation.
What I'm not so thankful for:
Credit cards. Induction (the Mac-Truck of labors). Weeds. Food-poisoning.
Happy New Year!
